DAVID BURGESS

After a 23-year military career, which included command of a helicopter squadron and running the Royal Navy’s Flight Safety Centre, David began his commercial flying career in the Emergency Services sector.

He has since held positions as Director of Flight Operations and Head of Training with major onshore operators, and he has managed the introduction into service of new aircraft types, new capabilities, and new ways of operating helicopters.

With first-hand experience of police, HEMS, offshore, charter and utility flying across 7 different civil helicopter types, he is also a highly experienced aircraft and simulator instructor/examiner and holds both UK and EASA licenses.
